Privacy

Privacy policies are usually long because there's a lot to confess. This one is short because there isn't.

What we collect

Nothing. No accounts, no analytics, no cookies of our own, no tracking pixels, no fingerprinting. We don't know who you are, when you visited, or what you typed. There is no marketing email because we don't have your email.

Where your stuff lives

Everything you type into a tool is saved by your own browser, on your own device, in a place called localStorage. It never travels to us, because there's nowhere for it to travel to: the live tools have no server-side brain and no database.

Two honest consequences of that design. First, your data doesn't follow you between browsers or devices; use each tool's export and import buttons to move it. Second, if you clear your browser's site data, your stuff is gone and we cannot recover it, because we never had it. Export once in a while.

The two third parties

Full honesty requires naming two infrastructure pieces. The site's fonts load from Google Fonts, and the site itself is served by Vercel. Like any web server, both can see the ordinary technical fact that a browser at your IP address requested a file. Neither receives anything you type, and we add no analytics on top of either.

The AI tools

Some tools (right now: In Other Words, Start Me, Pick For Me, and Soft Landing) send the text you give them to an AI service to do their job, the way goblin.tools works. Each one says so plainly on its own page, before you type anything. Nothing is sent anywhere until you choose to press the button, and nothing you send is stored by us afterward: the text passes through a small stateless function, comes back answered, and is gone. Your saved tones, voice samples, lists, and recent starts never make that trip as stored data; they ride along only inside the one request you triggered. Pick For Me is the exception that proves the rule: with no AI configured at all, it simply picks at random in your browser and nothing leaves the page.

If you use the bring-your-own-key option instead, your text goes straight from your browser to Anthropic and never touches our server at all. Your key is saved in your browser only and is never included in exports.

If this policy ever changes

The honest version of "we may update this policy": if a future tool needs something this page says we don't do, this page changes first, loudly, before the tool ships. The promise that existing free tools stay free and existing data stays local is not up for revision.
